It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and retired General Presidents’ Maintenance Committee for Canada and National Maintenance Council for Canada (GPMC/NMC) colleague, Stephen Smillie. His departure leaves a void in our hearts. But his legacy will forever remain in our memories.
Steve was more than just a colleague, he was a mentor, a friend, and a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside him. His dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to excellence left an indelible mark on the Canadian contract maintenance industry.
During his time with the GPMC/NMC, Steve not only contributed to the growth and development of the maintenance industry, but also enriched our work environment with his kindness, and genuine camaraderie. His positive impact on both professional and personal levels will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was one of a kind.
As we mourn Stephen’s passing, let us celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the positive influence he had on each of us.
