Labour organizations across Canada will recognize the Day of Mourning on April 28th. This solemn day is to remember and honour those workers who have lost their lives or have been injured in the workplace. The Day of Mourning recognizes that workplace accidents can have devastating consequences for workers and their families.

It is important that we take the time to remember these workers and to reflect on what we can do to prevent future workplace tragedies. This includes advocating for stronger workplace safety regulations, providing proper training and equipment for workers, and renewing our commitment to prevent future injuries and fatalities for workers.
