Colin Daniels has been a member of Iron Workers Local 771 since 1998 and brings more than 25 years of experience in Canada’s construction industry and trade union leadership. After completing his apprenticeship in 2002, he worked on major construction projects across Western Canada as a Connector, Rigger, Job Steward, and Supervisor.
Throughout his career, Colin has held a wide range of leadership roles within Local 771, including Executive Board, Dispatcher, Business Agent, President, and Financial Secretary/Treasurer/Business Manager. He has also served as Trustee and Vice President of the District Council of Western Canada. In 2019, he was appointed General Organizer, serving Western Canada and became President of the Western District Council. In January 2024, he was appointed General Vice President and the Executive Director of Canadian Affairs.
